Research on Histogram Equalization Algorithm Based on Optimized Adaptive Quadruple Segmentation and Cropping of Underwater Image(AQSCHE)

Due to the uncertain, diverse, and light-attenuating characteristics of underwater environment, images have low contrast unclear problems. This paper proposes a histogram equalization algorithm based on optimized adaptive image quadruple segmentation cropping (AQSCHE). Compared with traditional enhancement algorithm, this introduces technology. Using exposure value point calculation formula that optimizes distribution range histogram, perform obtain more refined histogram. The clipping is realized by constructing parameter z adjust brightness image. original enhanced sub-histogram each channel. Finally, simulation experiments verify effect proposed AQSCHE images. processed has higher contrast, clearer natural in subjective evaluation, better visual effect; objective evaluation indicators, information entropy (Entropy), peak signal noise ratio (PSNR), structural similarity index (SSIM) universal color quality evaluator (UCIQE), etc., also outperforms other common algorithms such as HE CLAHE.
